These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Steadybill. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. If something here seems unfair, email us and say so.
Steadybill is operated by Daigo Fujimoto, a sole trader based in Japan ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Contact: support@steadybill.microforgehq.com.
Steadybill lets you create invoices and estimates, send them to your customers by email, record payments and refunds against them, and keep the record in one place. We give you a licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own business. You may not resell it, rent it out, or try to take it apart and rebuild it.
We do not give tax, legal or accounting advice. The app does the arithmetic you ask it to do. Whether a rate is correct, whether a document meets the invoicing rules where you work, and what you owe in tax, are your responsibility — check with your tax authority or your accountant.
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. Keep access to that mailbox secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
You must be at least 16 and using the app for a business.
Everything you put into Steadybill stays yours. We do not claim any ownership of your documents, your logo, or your customer list. We store and send them so that the app works for you, and for nothing else.
When you enter your customers' details, you confirm that you are entitled to give them to us for that purpose. In that arrangement you are the controller of their information and we are your processor; the terms of that are set out in section 9 of our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
You are responsible for what you send. Do not use Steadybill to send anything unlawful, misleading, or to demand money you are not owed, and do not use it to send bulk or unsolicited email.
The free plan lets you send 3 invoices per calendar month and unlimited estimates. Paid plans remove that limit and unlock the paid features listed in the app.
All plans are subject to our Fair Use limits, which exist to stop the sending feature being used for spam.
Purchases are made through your Apple ID. Apple takes the payment, not us, and the price you see in the app before you confirm is the price that applies in your country.
Our promise about Lifetime. If you buy Lifetime, what you paid for stays yours: we will not raise the price you have already paid, take features out of Lifetime, or move an existing paid feature behind an extra charge.
We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and for a subscription Apple will ask you to agree before charging you a higher price.
If a paid plan ends, your documents are not deleted and you can still read, export and send them within the free limit. Paid features simply stop being available.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That removes your account and everything stored for it on our servers, immediately and permanently. Export your data first if you want to keep a copy.
We work to keep Steadybill running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption, or free of faults. The app is provided "as is" and we do not give warranties beyond those you have by law.
Keep your own copies. Use Settings → Export all data from time to time. We keep backups, but you should not rely on us as your only record of your business.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by the law that applies to you. In particular, if you are a consumer, you keep all the rights your local consumer law gives you and nothing here takes them away.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: we are not responsible for lost profits, lost business or lost data, or for a customer failing to pay you; and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.
If we change these terms we update the date at the top and tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. If you do not accept a change, stop using the app and delete your account.
You may stop using Steadybill at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms in a serious way — for example by using the sending feature to send spam — and we will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so.
These terms are governed by the law of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court has jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in another country, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
These terms are between you and us. Apple is not a party to them.
