"Unlimited" on a paid plan means unlimited for running a one-person trades business. It does not mean unlimited email. These limits exist so that Steadybill cannot be turned into a way of sending spam — which would get our sending domain blocked and stop everyone's invoices arriving.
| Plan | Documents you can send per day (the fair use limit) |
Invoices per month (the plan limit) |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 30 per day | 3 invoices (estimates are unlimited) |
| Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime | 200 per day | No monthly limit |
The daily limit applies to every plan, including the paid ones. "Unlimited invoices" on a paid plan means there is no monthly cap — the daily limit is still 200.
A day runs from midnight to midnight in your own business time zone, the one set in Settings, not in ours.
Every send counts, including a re-send. If you send the same invoice twice — a reminder, or a corrected copy — that is two sends against the daily limit. Sharing a PDF straight from the app counts too, not just email. (The monthly limit on the free plan works differently: only the first successful send of a given invoice uses one of your three.)
Sending pauses until the next day, and the app tells you so. Nothing is lost — the document stays as it is and you can send it the next day, or share it another way in the meantime.
Going over the limit does not get your account closed. If you hit it repeatedly because your business genuinely sends that much, email us and we will raise it for you.
These are the things the limits are there to prevent. Doing them can get your account suspended, as described in section 10 of our Terms of Service:
If a limit is getting in the way of ordinary work, that is a problem with the limit, not with you. Tell us: support@steadybill.microforgehq.com.
